1. Refuge — Instrumental Worship | Keith McMinn
Refuge is a five-track collection of instrumental worship music created to help you slow down, meditate on Scripture, and draw closer to God. Each piece is inspired by a specific passage of Scripture and uses piano, strings, warm atmospheric pads, and sounds from God’s creation to provide a peaceful setting for worship, prayer, reflection, and rest.
1. Peace — Philippians 4:6–7
Gentle piano, warm synth pads, strings, ocean waves, and wind create a peaceful atmosphere while pointing us to the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.
2. Search Me God — Psalm 139:23–24
Waves coming onto the shore accompany sweeping strings and expressive piano. Tender moments of solo piano invite us to become still before God and ask Him to search our hearts and lead us in His everlasting way.
3. He Restores My Soul — Psalm 23:3
A high violin opens the piece before giving way to cascading warm strings and a gentle pan flute melody. The music points us toward the hope we have in Christ and the comforting truth that our Shepherd restores our souls.
4. Joy in the Morning — Psalm 30:5
Gentle piano begins the journey, followed by a warm atmospheric pad and the sound of ocean waves meeting the shore. The music reminds us that sorrow does not have the final word: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.
5. Come to Me and Rest — Matthew 11:28–30
A warm pad and a single piano note invite us to slow down and rest. The sounds of birds from God’s creation add beauty and stillness, while deep sustained tones remind us of the strength, stability, and confidence we have in our sovereign God. Jesus invites the weary and burdened to come to Him and find true rest.
Together, these five pieces tell a simple story: God gives peace. He searches and leads us. He restores our souls. He brings joy after sorrow. And in Christ, He gives rest to the weary. Whether you are spending time in prayer, reading Scripture, studying, reflecting, resting, or simply needing a quiet place away from the noise of life, my hope is that Refuge helps turn your heart toward the Lord.
